Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report 8/1

Summary

Working gas in storage was 2,845 Bcf as of Friday, July 26, 2013, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 59 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 368 Bcf less than last year at this time and 34 Bcf below the 5-year average of 2,879 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 119 Bcf below the 5-year average following net injections of 44 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 55 Bcf above the 5-year average of 979 Bcf after a net injection of 9 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 30 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 6 Bcf. At 2,845 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
