Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report 1/15

Summary
Working gas in storage was 2,853 Bcf as of Friday, January 9, 2015, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 236 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 282 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 113 Bcf below the 5-year average of 2,966 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 55 Bcf below the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 127 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 45 Bcf below the 5-year average of 1,030 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 81 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 13 Bcf below the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 28 Bcf. At 2,853 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
