Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report 6/21

Summary
Working gas in storage was 3,006 Bcf as of Friday, June 15, 2012, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 62 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 680 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 641 Bcf above the 5-year average of 2,365 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 313 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 37 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 240 Bcf above the 5-year average of 876 Bcf after a net injection of 14 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 87 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 11 Bcf. At 3,006 Bcf, total working gas is above the 5-year historical range.

Working gas stocks in the Producing Region, for the week ending June 15, 2012, totaled 1,116 Bcf, with 265 Bcf in salt cavern facilities and 851 Bcf in nonsalt cavern facilities. Working gas stocks increased 4 Bcf in the salt cavern facilities and increased 10 Bcf in the nonsalt cavern facilities since June 8.
