Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report 11/8

Summary
Working gas in storage was 3,929 Bcf as of Friday, November 2, 2012, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 21 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 109 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 244 Bcf above the 5-year average of 3,685 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 38 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 5 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 153 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,132 Bcf after a net injection of 8 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 53 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 8 Bcf. At 3,929 Bcf, total working gas is above the 5-year historical range.

Working gas stocks in the Producing Region, for the week ending November 2, 2012, totaled 1,285 Bcf, with 307 Bcf in salt cavern facilities and 977 Bcf in nonsalt cavern facilities. Working gas stocks increased 7 Bcf in the salt cavern facilities and decreased 1 Bcf in the nonsalt cavern facilities since October 26.
