Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report 11/15
Summary
Working gas in storage was 3,911 Bcf as of Friday, November 9, 2012, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 18 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 71 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 209 Bcf above the 5-year average of 3,702 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 11 Bcf above the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 23 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 145 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,142 Bcf after a net injection of 2 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 53 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 3 Bcf. At 3,911 Bcf, total working gas is above the 5-year historical range.
Working gas stocks in the Producing Region, for the week ending November 9, 2012, totaled 1,287 Bcf, with 310 Bcf in salt cavern facilities and 977 Bcf in nonsalt cavern facilities. Working gas stocks increased 3 Bcf in the salt cavern facilities and remained at the previous week's level in the nonsalt cavern facilities since November 2.
